Accounts Payable SpecialistLocation: Fort Lauderdale, FL (On-site, 5 days/week) Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: Accounts Payable ManagerCompany Overview: LPL Solar is a self-perform solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) company headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We specialize in utility-scale solar projects and maintain long-standing relationships with leading utilities and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) across the U.S. Our leadership team brings over 20 GW of combined solar construction experience, with more than 200 projects completed across thirteen states and the Province of Ontario, Canada.Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is a key part of the Accounts Payable department, responsible for processing invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting various accounting functions. The ideal candidate has experience in construction accounting and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Key Responsibilities:Review, verify, and enter invoices using HH2 (automated billing system)Ensure accurate entry of vendor information, invoice numbers, dates, amounts, due dates, coding, and payment datesAssist in weekly AP runs using Sage 300 accounting softwarePerform monthly vendor reconciliations and ensure accuracy of statements and invoicesPerform month-end close process by reviewing & approving assigned invoices and credit card transactions, while ensuring all monthly invoices are accurately entered and processed on timeMatch invoices with waivers and release of liens as part of the AP payment processRespond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationshipsScan and weekly payment remittancesReview and approve all invoices in Final Review, ensuring accuracy of key invoice details, including vendor name, invoice number, and amount, before exporting to SageReview and code AMEX and Comdata credit card transactionsAssist with other accounts payable and accounting tasks as neededSkills & Qualifications:Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent verbal & written communication skillsDemonstrate the ability to manage high-volume workloads and prioritize multiple competing tasksProficient in Microsoft Office and construction accounting softwareSolid understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principlesEducation & Experience:Minimum 3 years of construction accounting experience, including at least 2 years in Accounts PayableExperience with Sage 300, HH2, AMEX/Comdata is a plusMust work from LPL Solar's office in Fort Lauderdale, FL
