The AP Specialist will be responsible for processing accounts payable & expense reimbursements in a complete, accurate and timely manner. The successful candidate will excel at managing a variety of goals and tasks and working with team members to implement solutions to problems. This is a great opportunity for an individual who wants to be challenged, build long-lasting relationships and be a part of building an accounting team.Responsibilities and DutiesFull cycle accounts payable processing; high volume matching, batching, coding, scanning and entering invoices in accordance with company guidelines; ensuring accuracy of GL coding and location codingMaintain and update various accounts payable reports and documentation to ensure accuracy and completenessMaintain updated vendor files and vendor numbers, including maintaining an open line of communication with vendorsManage receipts and retention of W-9 forms for required vendorsReview and enter all construction/development invoicesEnter all vendor information into construction accounting systemWork with project managers to obtain approval of all invoicesProcess all construction checks including distribution/mailingReview expense reports for accurate coding to account, department, class, projectsVerify accuracy, coding, and proper approval of reimbursables in ConcurVerify that transactions comply with financial policies and proceduresImport invoices into Sage/Timberline from Concur bi-weeklyComplete monthly account reconciliations for APReview and process employee travel/expense reports in Concur, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with established policiesAssist in pulling information as requested by external partiesQualifications and SkillsFour-year degree and/or at least three years of relevant experience in Accounts PayablePrior experience working in the Construction and/or Real Estate Industry is a plusExcellent communication skillsStrong organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with keen attention to detailComputer Skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Concur, and Sage 300 (Timberline)Salary InformationTo the extent this position is performed in New York City, the annual salary range for this role is $67,000 - $75,000
