Account Payable SpecialistCitadel Roofing and Solar is looking for an Account Payable Specialist to join our growing team. This position is based in Vacaville, CA and will report to the AP Manager.Position Responsibilities:Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to paymentPrioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment termsProcess check requestsMatch invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordinglyRespond to all vendor inquiriesReconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepanciesAssist in month end closingMaintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practicesAssist with other projects as neededRequirements:2+ years of Accounts Payable experienceHigh school diploma required, college courses in accounting preferredMust have strong work ethicsMust be well organized and a self-starterDetail oriented, professional attitude, reliableProficient in Excel and Word, 10-key by touch, Oracle experience a plusAbility to type 50-65 wpmPossess strong organizational and time management skillsStrong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skillsThorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate proceduresAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingAbility to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timelinessMust be able to pass a background check and drug test.Must be able to lift 50lbsWe offer excellent pay and benefits.
