Job description
Position: Remote AR Auditor / AR Representative
Pay: $25/hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shift
Location: Fully remote, Central Time candidates preferred
Experience: 2+ years medical billing or accounts receivable
Systems: Epic or NextGen experience highly preferred
The role will initially support a large healthcare facility auditing medical claims, coding and EOBs for errors before or after submission. Upon completion of the project, the person is expected to transition into a traditional AR Representative role.
Core responsibilities include:
Reviewing medical claims, coding and EOBs for errors
Calling insurance companies on denied or incorrectly paid claims
Writing appeals for denied and underpaid claims
Checking payer portals and researching claim status
Working across multiple practice management systems and national payers
Managing AR work queues and helping increase client collections
