Collections SpecialistThis position is responsible for resolving overdue bills. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and possess excellent communication skills including the ability to negotiate.ResponsibilitiesMonitor accounts on a daily basis to identify customers with outstanding paymentsNotify customers with overdue payments and provide options for repaymentTake the lead role in the legal process of securing delinquent paymentsInvestigate billing errors and disputesCreate reports to track payments and prioritize accounts having the biggest financial impact on the companyReview credit policies and implement revisions when necessaryEducation and ExperienceDegree in Accounting, Finance Business Management or equivalent experience3-4 years of experience in high volume collectionsNegotiation skills including collection techniquesExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially excel.BenefitsCompetitive salary401(k) including up to a 4% company matchMedical, dental and vision insuranceVacation and sick daysHoliday PaySince 1958, our family-owned business has offered the best propane products and service to homes, commercial companies and agricultural businesses in southeastern North Carolina.
