Job description
Accounts Receivable (Ar) Clerk - OnsiteThe AR Clerk is responsible for the receipt and accounting of funds being paid to the organization. This role also serves as an auditor, ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed to account for the receipt of customer payment. Preferred 2-5 years of Accounts Receivable experience.Primary duties include:Applies cash receipts to AR invoicesResearches and resolves payment discrepanciesVerifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining information from sales, operations and managementProcesses credit card payments, customer refund check requests and write offsPrepare and send out customer invoices and statements as requestedAssist in managing customer filesProvide support where needed within accounting departmentOther duties as assignedPhysical activity:Required to sit for long periods of timeRequired to use hands to finger (keyboarding) for long periods of timeRequired to occasionally reach with hands and armsRequired to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 poundsRequired specific vision abilities: Close visionEducation, knowledge, competencies & skills required:Must have a minimum of 2 years in recent AR role, with prior experience in cash application preferredMust be comfortable in contacting customers in regards to paymentsMust have effective business writing and professional communication skillsMust have effective customer service skillsMust be detail-oriented; able to maintain organization while processing daily payments for multiple entitiesMust have professional mannerism and ability to maintain confidentialityMust have the ability to multi task, be spontaneous in desk duties, and prioritize job requestsMust have a strong work ethic with a team player attitudePreferably have experience with Equipment Rental software4-Horn Management, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Company.
