We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Coordinator ( Cash Applications) to join our team! This position is located in our corporate headquarter office in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago.
The Accounts Receivable Coordinator will be responsible for applying cash payments received from payers against open receivables for Brokerage and Royalty. This individual will be required to follow up with appropriate parties to resolve payments that are unable to be applied or errors on payments.
The candidate will be responsible for monitoring account receivables to determine current payment status with vendors and preparing distribution of credit memos, vouchers, invoices, statements and collection letters. A successful candidate will research and resolve simple payment discrepancies including disputed payments, discounts, shortages, damages, duplicate deductions, and payment or unapplied cash payments. Will work with sales representatives on any outstanding issues with overdue accounts and provide frequent status updates.
Requirements:
Minimum one (1) year receivables experience, business collections experience desired
Solid written and verbal communication, customer service, listening, organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple activities simultaneously with little or no direction; ability to work well independently
Resourceful, with a demonstrated ability to take initiative in development and completion of work projects
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner
Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, must be proficient in Excel
