The successful individual will possess at least 3+ years' medical and/or behavioral billing experience, especially in account and payment reconciliation and at least 1+ years' experience with medical and/or behavioral billing experience, especially in accounts and payment reconciliation.HOPE ~ HEALTH ~ HEALINGTerros Health is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist II at our Central Avenue location in Phoenix, AZ.High School Diploma or GED Equivalent3+ Years' Medical and/or Behavioral Billing Experience3+ Years' Experience with Medical Terminology and Using an Electronic Medical Record and Billing SystemFull-Time, EmployedMonday-Friday, 8am-5pmNo WeekendsAccounts Receivable Specialist II is responsible for assisting with the reconciliation of payments for patient charges. As a level II, this position will handle more complex projects and workload and may train and mentor teammates.Work current claims for rebilling purposesCorrect errors on denied claims and resubmit claimsComplete claims review projects and related necessary action stepsReview accounts for payments and adjustments to ensure appropriate balanceProactively engages in process improvement on a continuous basis, including using available resources to resolve problems timely and effectively.Train and mentor teammatesAssist manager with tracking denial trends, claims issues, and the identification of resolutions and action itemsEnsures timely, high quality work completion via tracking and trending projects and workload across the teamQualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent3+ years medical and/or behavioral billing experience, especially in the area of account and payment reconciliation3+ years' experience with medical terminology and using an electronic medical record and billing systemDemonstrated knowledge of HCPC's, CPT, and diagnosis codingIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft suite, especially excel functions and toolsExperience interacting with external payers and stakeholdersExperience mentoring and training others on claims and/or coding functionsMust pass background check, TB test and other pre-employment screening
