Job description
Accounts Receivable SpecialistAn associate's degree preferred, one must have prior experience. Hourly rate starting at $23.75. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8a-4p. LifeStream's Accounting and Finance Department is looking for a new team member! An exciting opportunity awaits a candidate with the relevant education and experience.Some of the things this person would be responsible for are: Prepare and issue invoices for services rendered, ensuring accuracy and compliance with funding sources and contracts. Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances. Post payments and reconcile accounts in the accounting system. Communicate with clients, funding agencies, and internal departments regarding billing inquiries and discrepancies. Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting. Maintain organized records of receivables and related documentation. Support audits and provide documentation as needed. Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Maintenance of an acceptable CORI and fingerprints. Valid Driver's license. Negative drug screen.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: (Include education, experience, special skills and licenses or certifications required.) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
