Job Description:

We're looking for an Actuarial Analyst to join Penn Mutual! In this role you will gain hands-on experience across multiple actuarial disciplines while progressing toward your FSA designation. This role offers a dynamic blend of analytical work, collaboration across teams, and professional growth.

Responsibilities

Perform actuarial calculations and analyses supporting product development, financial management, reserving, experience studies, risk management, and other business initiatives.

Analyze data, assumptions, and results, investigating and resolving issues as appropriate.

Support actuarial research, audits, financial reporting, and regulatory or rating agency requests.

Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for management and other internal or external stakeholders.

Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements, including the use of emerging technologies and AI-enabled tools, to improve actuarial efficiency.

Partner with departments such as Accounting and Operations to support cross-functional initiatives.

Adhere to company policies, actuarial standards, and the company's framework of internal controls.

Good interpersonal skills

Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills

Must be detail-oriented and be able to handle multiple tasks/projects as well as exercise initiative and follow-through to meet deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to make a positive contribution as demonstrated by learning new skills and making suggestions for process/procedure improvement

Education

Bachelor's Degree major/concentration in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or related discipline Required

Experience

0-3 Years of experience Required and

One exam toward the eventual attainment of ASA Required and

Committed to pursuing the FSA designation Required and

Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
