nJoin Our Bridgeton, Missouri Team as a Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner – A Role Designed for You
nWe believe in bringing "better" to our local community in Bridgeton, Missouri—better care, better collaboration, and a deep commitment to the people we serve. We'd love to talk if you're looking for a role that supports your professional growth and connection to a vibrant community.
nWe are hiring for a Part-Time Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.
nLocal Team Collaboration:
nnnAt Bridgeton, our strong, collaborative team includes 28 physicians and 4 APPs at SSM Health DePaul. We also have the support of three clinical performance nurses, one hospital coordinator, and one program manager.
n
nnAs a team, we value our collaboration with the nursing staff and specialists throughout the hospital. Patients are our top priority, and we do a great job of always keeping that focus at the forefront.
n
nnExcellent subspecialty support.
n
n nQualifications:
nnnNurse practitioner board certification required. Acute Care Training strongly preferred.
n
nnExperience as an NP in a hospital setting is required, with experience as a hospitalist NP preferred.
n
nnFor a new grad NP, experience as an inpatient RN within the ICU or acute care settings is ideal.
n
nnAuthorized to work in the United States.
n
n nScheduling:
nnnThis role is for a full-time nocturnist 7p-7a coverage with the expectation of approximately 15-night shifts per month.
n
nnBlock schedule.
n
n nKey Responsibilities:
nnnThis position will collaborate with two nocturnist physicians on the night shift, managing admissions and responding to rapid responses and stroke alerts.
n
nnWe welcome the challenge of highly complex cases. Our ICU is closed. Procedures and codes are not required, and we are grateful for 24/7 in-house specialty support in all but just a few specialty areas.
n
nnThe population we serve is very ill. The happiest team members thrive on complexity and high acuity, knowing they are making a difference with strong support around them at all times.
n
n nLiving and working in Bridgeton:
nnnBridgeton isn’t just where we work—it’s where we live, connect, and enjoy the convenience of a suburban lifestyle with easy access to the best of St. Louis. With its parks, recreational activities, and family-friendly neighborhoods, Bridgeton offers a welcoming community atmosphere. n
nnOur team enjoys the outdoors and all that St. Louis has to offer, from festivals to professional sports to excellent restaurants and music. Everyone finds something enjoyable to unwind and enjoy life when they are not working.
n
nnWe like to support our greater local community by participating in food pantry drives each year and supporting hospital-championed initiatives to help those in need.
n
n nRewards and Compensation:
nnnFair and rewarding compensation is provided for this position.
n
nnFull benefits effective on day one of employment.
n
nnMalpractice insurance is provided, including tail coverage at no cost to providers.
