Acute Care Patient Care Technician (NA-C) - Telemetry Experience PreferredJoin a dedicated healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region, providing compassionate and skilled patient care in an acute care setting. This role involves performing routine daily patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for patients and their families.Job SummaryThe Acute Care Patient Care Technician is responsible for delivering direct patient care within the scope of a Certified Nursing Assistant license. Duties include monitoring vital signs, assisting with mobility and personal hygiene, performing technical tasks such as EKG acquisition and phlebotomy, and supporting the healthcare team to promote high-quality patient experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform direct patient care activities as delegated by nursing staff, including CPR, telemetry monitoring, wound care, and specimen collection.Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.Maintain accurate documentation of patient care data and assist with scheduling diagnostic tests and procedures.Support a safe and clean environment by managing supplies, turning over patient rooms, and adhering to infection control protocols.Respond promptly and courteously to patient needs and emergency codes, fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere.Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.One to two years of experience in a patient care setting, preferably in acute care.Telemetry experience is a plus.Licenses and CertificationsCertified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) license in the applicable state.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Medical Assistant Phlebotomy certification preferred.Skills and AbilitiesStrong knowledge of patient care practices within the nursing assistant scope.Ability to apply age-specific care principles and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.Proficiency with electronic medical records and medical telemetry equipment.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and composure in a fast-paced environment.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry varying weights, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.This position offers a supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth and a comprehensive benefits package designed to promote well-being and financial security.
