Job description
This position involves providing direct patient care in an acute care setting within a 25-bed unit specializing in complex medical cases. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, with a focus on promoting patient and family-centered healing environments. The role requires developing individualized care plans, communicating across care teams, and educating patients and families on managing their health and post-discharge needs.
Key Duties:
Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
Document and implement care plans with clear goals in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
Work in a safety-sensitive environment, demonstrating alertness and safety consciousness.
Qualifications & Skills:
Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Current RN license required; no prior experience necessary, but two years of experience is preferred.
Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
