Job description
Provides direct patient care in a 25-bed Acute Care Medicine unit, managing Med Surg and occasional trach patients with a 12-hour shift schedule. Responsibilities include
assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in a 25-bed Acute Care Medicine unit, managing Med Surg and occasional trach patients with a 12-hour shift schedule. Responsibilities include
assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
promoting
patient and family-centered care
educating patients on illness management, and ensuring safety and quality compliance. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team including social workers, therapists, pharmacists, and physicians to deliver comprehensive care.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred)
Licenses: Active RN license
Experience: No minimum required, but 2+ years preferred for advanced roles
Skills: Critical assessment, communication, teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and adherence to safety standards
