Job description

Acute Registered Respiratory Therapist / RRT – Night Shift, Full-Time

Where Expertise Meets Impact—Night Shifts That Breathe New Life

When the lights dim and the world sleeps, critical care doesn't rest—and neither do you. As a full-time Respiratory Therapist working overnight near Indianapolis, you're the calm in the storm for patients in crisis, the expert hand during Code Blues, and the steady breath behind every ventilator and life-saving intervention.

You'll join a clinical team that values clarity, compassion, and critical thinking. From the ICU to the ER, from rapid responses to patient education, you're not just delivering treatment—you're delivering reassurance, recovery, and resilience.

What You'll Do

Administer aerosolized medications and respiratory therapies based on physician orders

Monitor patient response, manage adverse reactions, and adjust treatments accordingly

Respond rapidly to Code Blue and emergency calls, managing airways and providing CPR

Set up, manage, and monitor mechanical ventilators and life-support equipment

Perform oxygen rounds, IPPB, CPT, humidity and aerosol therapies, and incentive spirometry

Draw and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs) and assist in maintaining a moderately complex CLIA lab

Educate patients and families on techniques and rehabilitation for better home care outcomes

Clean and disinfect respiratory equipment following strict infection control protocols

Assist with departmental improvement, equipment evaluations, and inventory management

Document procedures accurately in EMRs and provide timely communication with care teams

What You'll Bring

Credentials & Certifications

Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT)

BLS or CPR for Healthcare Providers

PALS, NRP, and ACLS/ALS (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)

Experience & Skills

Preferred: Ventilator management, ABG procurement, and experience in hospital or outpatient settings

Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure clinical situations

Strong communication skills and patient-first mindset

Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Schedule

Full-Time | Night Shift

6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.

69 hours per bi-weekly pay period (approx. 3 shifts/week)
