The Autonomous Development Team is a part of the Electronic Systems Development (ESD) Department, which focuses on the test and development of ADAS Driving and Parking features for Hyundai, KIA, and Genesis products. The Autonomous Development team focuses on the ADAS performance in North America.

ADAS Driving Validation Engineer
Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking an engineer to join the Autonomous Development (AD) Driving team.
The Autonomous Development Team is a part of the Electronic Systems Development (ESD) Department, which focuses on the test and development of ADAS Driving and Parking features for Hyundai, KIA, and Genesis products. The Autonomous Development team focuses on the ADAS performance in North America.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead validation of the Autonomous Driving functions including checking sensor performance (camera, & radar systems) & feature performance (FCA, LKA, BCA, SCC, LFA, HDA) from a North American customer perspective.
Utilize and modify Test Development Plans (TDP) to ensure acceptable system performance and improve efficiency.
Identify performance & specification deficiencies, perform root cause analysis, and report concerns through company channels, while tracking issues to closure.
Create and present clear & concise reports for management review, including project status, technical data, & competitive benchmarking studies.
Benchmark competitor vehicle performance and help the establishment of development direction and performance targets.
Interface & support regional sales teams and manufacturing facilities on ADAS related questions or testing.
Analyze customer feedback results from internal and external media sources (J.D. Power IQS, Consumer Reports, social media, traditional media, and internal & external customer clinics).
Perform and participate in cost saving initiatives along with activities that will analyze revenue streams and improve upon the overall business model related to ADAS implementations.
Support the identification and development of new technologies, strategies, and methods for improving the performance of current and future Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles.
Perform additional projects & tasks assigned to support the overall mission, vision & goals of HATCI & Autonomous Development Team.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
Educational Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, or a related field
Related Industry Experience Requirements: 0-3+ years of relevant engineering experience in the automotive industry
Required Skills and Knowledge: Basic knowledge of Autonomous Driving & Parking Systems, and familiarity with Camera, Radar, & Ultrasonic sensor a plus.
Experienced with data acquisition systems and analysis software (INCA, CANape, CANoe, MATLAB) a plus
Excellent computer skills
Project management, time management and organizational skills
Experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving methods
Good written communication and presentation skills
Flexibility in handling multiple projects and changing priorities
Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
Additional Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time domestically or internationally
