Adept Housekeeper | Full-TimeJoin a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, where your role as a Housekeeper 1 is vital to maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. This position involves performing daily cleaning duties with attention to detail and adherence to established standards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThoroughly clean assigned patient rooms and ancillary areas daily, following specific procedures and guidelines.Maintain cleanliness of designated office spaces according to policy.Utilize appropriate cleaning agents for assigned tasks.Ensure housekeeping carts are locked and stored properly, keeping janitor closets neat and organized.Complete daily documentation accurately and submit to supervisors promptly.Report any issues related to cleaning, maintenance, equipment, safety, or facility repairs to the appropriate department.EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic literacy and ability to follow written and verbal instructions are essential. Willingness to learn additional tasks and responsibilities is important.Experience0-3 months of housekeeping or floor care experience, which can be gained through on-the-job training or prior work.RequirementsAbility to read, write, and perform basic math.Good communication skills and ability to organize work effectively.Physical ability to stoop, bend, reach, twist, lift up to 40 pounds, and push carts weighing up to 300 pounds.Basic computer skills.Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.Willingness to learn and adhere to environmental services policies and procedures.Safe use of cleaning chemicals and operation of housekeeping equipment.Working ConditionsMay encounter unpleasant odors, body fluids, and potential exposure to infectious diseases. Exposure to cleaning chemicals and wet or slippery surfaces is possible. Work environment may include areas containing medications.
