Overview
nWe offer a BACB-approved course sequence for students who are seeking the BCBA, and will also offer students eligibility for the New York State Licensed Behavior Analyst credential. The successful candidate will be expected to support our growing student population through teaching, advising, collaborating on research initiatives, and will work in collaboration with other programs within the department.
nResponsibilities
nDuties include, but not limited to the following:
nnnTeach a minimum of one graduate level courses in MS and Adv. Certificate programs
n
nnPrepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts
n
nnBe prompt and accurate in the recording and reporting of student data
n
nnSupport students’ learning goals by:
n
nnFocusing on student learning outcomes
n
nnTaking into account the needs and abilities of the students
n
nnBecoming familiar with academic and social support
n
nnMaking reasonable provisions to accommodate individual differences
n
nnMaintaining the academic integrity of the college
n
nnBeing available to assist students in achieving their learning goals
n
n nQualifications
nEducation, Preparation, and Training
nnnDoctoral degree in in behavior analysis, education, or psychology. Candidates with degrees in education or psychology should have an academic concentration in Behavior Analysis
n
nnA BCBA or BCBA-D with supervision training is required as well as New York LBA license or license eligibility
n
nnExperience teaching applied behavior analysis at the graduate level
n
n nKnowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
nnnCompetence in technology as an educational tool
n
nnA commitment to work in multicultural and urban education settings
n
nnUpdates and uses relevant knowledge
n
nnExcellent interpersonal skills; communicating with supervisors, peers, and students
n
nnExcellent organization skills
n
nnProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
n
nnSPSS skills essential, data analysis knowledge in Excel a plus
n
nnCANVAS educational platform
n
nnInternet journal library and Google Scholar search experience
n
n nTravel
nnManhattan and/or Brooklyn
n nMaximum Salary
nUSD $4,250.00/Sem
nMinimum Salary
nUSD $3,250.00/Sem
