Department Overview
The full-time annual base salary range for this position is $53,038-$56,864 at 0.2 FTE. Commensurate with experience, education & internal equity. Base pay does not include incentive pay, hiring bonuses, or additional benefits such as retirement contributions.
Direct care as a psychiatrist for patients within the Center for Women's Health (a multispecialty, integrated setting) - including, but not limited to psychiatric evaluation, psychopharmacologic and psychotherapy services. The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.
Function/Duties of Position
Including, but not limited to, providing direct patient care, evaluation and treatment in areas of mental health common to or specific to women such as depression, anxiety, perinatal loss and bereavement, perinatal mood disorders, female sexual dysfunction, adult developmental issues (menopause, aging, chronic illness, disability, pregnancy, etc.), and partnership/marital concerns.
The Psychiatrist will work as a member of the Reproductive Psychiatry and Behavioral Health division to optimize operations in order to create a fiscally viable operation as well as an excellent patient care and learning environment. Responsibilities include instruction and supervision of learners, as well as collaboration with medical colleagues throughout the Center and OHSU.
The faculty member must be board certified and state licensed. The faculty member must also be credentialed and privileged as a member of the OHSU Professional Staff in accordance with the
specialty bylaws. The faculty member is expected to comply with scope of practice, other laws, regulations, OHSU policy, and other applicable professional standards of practice.
Required Qualifications
MD, DO Board certified Psychiatrist with a minimum of 2 years post residency clinical experience in women’s mental health OR fellowship trained in Women’s Mental Health or Psychosomatic Medicine
Strong interest in women’s mental health and in resident and student education
Oregon State Licensure and ABPN Board Certified
Specialty emphasis and/or interest in receiving additional training on the psychiatric aspects of women’s mental health, specifically addressing perinatal mood disorders and treatment, perinatal loss care, infertility, sexual dysfunction, parenting and relational difficulties.
