Position Overview
This Adjunct Faculty member teaches Medical Assisting courses.
Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes .
What you will be doing Teaches in lecture, laboratory and/or clinical settings
Evaluates and advises students
Participates in departmental and College affairs
Develops curricula
Recruits students
Serves on committees
Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed Associate's degree and Valid National Licensure in Medical Assisting and / or Licensure in a Healthcare field (e.g., Nursing; Physician; Emergency Medical Services; Physician Assistant) and three (3) years of full-time work and/or instructional experience in a Healthcare field (e.g. Nursing; Physician; Emergency Medical Services; Medical Assisting; Physician Assistant).
All educational degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions
Current licensure as Medical Assistant or licensure in related health care field
Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include morning, evening and/or weekend assignments
Must be able to travel between campuses, clinical sites and off-campus offering sites
Additional Requirements
The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
