Job description
Adjunct Phlebotomy InstructorThe Adjunct Phlebotomy Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction. The instructor will prepare students for successful completion of the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam and entry-level employment in the healthcare field.Key Responsibilities:Teach phlebotomy courses in accordance with curriculum standards and program objectivesProvide hands-on instruction in venipuncture, capillary collection, infection control, safety, and patient care proceduresMonitor student progress, attendance, and competency developmentMaintain accurate records and submit grades and reports in a timely mannerEnsure compliance with all safety, accreditation, and institutional policiesSupport students in preparation for the NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification examQualifications:Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) credential required; NHA certification preferredMinimum of two years of recent phlebotomy experience in a clinical settingMinimum of two years teaching, training, or on-the-job training experienceStrong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work with diverse student populations in both classroom and lab environments
