Job description
Antelope Valley College invites applications for our adjunct (Temporary, part‑time) faculty applicant pool for the following Physical Sciences discipline.
Representative Duties
Instruct students in the assigned discipline. Assignment may include teaching courses during the day, evening, online, and/or off‑campus sites.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s in Interdisciplinary area
Master’s in one of the disciplines included in the interdisciplinary area and upper‑division or graduate coursework in at least one other constituent discipline
The equivalent
Note: The Interdisciplinary Studies discipline is provided to allow for those cases where it is locally determined that a course must be taught by someone with qualifications that exceed a single discipline. The constituent disciplines can include any disciplines found in the Master’s list.
Also a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (Assembly Bill 1725; Education Code 87360).
