Adjunct Professor, Chemistry - Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry

Adjuncts – Chemistry (All disciplines). The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is searching for adjunct faculty who have an interest and expertise in teaching lower and upper division chemistry courses. Positions are available for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.
Qualifications
Masters’ degree in any sub-discipline of Chemistry (organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, or biochemistry) or a relevant field.
Preference will be given to applicants with previous teaching experience and favorable recommendations from references.

Applicants should include a description of weekly schedule availability during each semester in the cover letter.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. The University will not sponsor a visa for this position.
Compensation
In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis.
