Adjunct Professor - Electrical and Computer Engineering
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Department will accept applications throughout the year. When a teaching vacancy arises, we will consider the submitted applications in an effort to staff the course. All applicants must apply on line and complete a faculty profile. Online applications must include: 1. A current and complete resume/curriculum vitae. 2. A cover letter or letter of interest. The letter should include the the following three pieces of information: (a) the type of courses the applicant is interested in teaching; (b) the time period during which the applicant expects to be available; c) the names and the contact information of three references. If the applicant wishes to submit any other supporting documents, he or she may submit them on line in conjunction with the application.
Position Summary: The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Villanova University is seeking applications for adjunct faculty positions. The department offers a wide variety of courses in analog and digital electronics, computer architecture, cybersecurity, microwaves, energy systems and signals and communications. Minimum Qualifications: The minimum qualification is a Master's degree in electrical or computer engineering or a related field. Commitment to teaching excellence is expected.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous teaching experience preferred.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours: Undergraduate courses are offered during the day; most graduate courses run during the evening.
Salary Posting Information: This adjunct position falls within the salary range of $1,650.00 – $2,600.00 per credit/contact hour. The final compensation will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate's educational qualifications, course type (drill, lab, lecture), course level (undergraduate or graduate), and market benchmarks.
