Adjunct Professor of Chemistry Lab (Fall 2026)
Metropolitan Campus, Teaneck, NJ.
Department: Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physics - Metro Campus.
Position type: Adjunct Faculty (Temporary). Salary: $900-$1,000 per contact hour.
Job Summary
The Gregory H. Olsen College of Engineering and Science at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Metro Campus, seeks an adjunct professor to teach laboratory courses in the fields of general chemistry, organic chemistry, and/or the health sciences. The laboratory instructor will guide students through weekly pre-designed in-person laboratory experiments, evaluate student notebooks and laboratory reports, and maintain a safe laboratory environment by ensuring chemicals and glassware are handled correctly, PPE is worn, and waste is cleaned up and stored properly.
Responsibilities
Guide students through weekly pre-designed in-person laboratory experiments.
Evaluate student notebooks and laboratory reports.
Maintain a safe laboratory environment, ensuring proper handling of chemicals and glassware, appropriate PPE, and proper waste management.
Qualifications
Master's degree or higher in chemistry or a closely related field.
Strong teaching experience preferred.
Industrial experience welcome.
