Job description
Senior AccountantThis position supports the work of the Y, a leading charity committed to strengthening community. Under the general direction of the Chief Finance Officer, the Senior Accountant assists in the Association's general accounting functions, assists in the administration of accounts payable functions, and other duties as assigned. Essential functions include general accounting, budget preparation, payroll/benefits accounting, and accounts payable. Qualifications include an AAS in Accounting and 1-3 years accounting experience or a BA/BS in Accounting. Proven computer proficiency in Word and Excel is required, along with strong mathematical aptitude, excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral, problem solving, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely and cooperatively with staff and volunteers at all levels of the Association. Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of the YMCA and its capacity to build strong kids, families and communities is essential. This is a full-time exempt position with full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Pension, 403B, Tuition Reimbursement and more). The salary range for this position is $62,353.20 - $67,500.
