Administrative Assistant – Academic Programs Kennedy CenterThis position provides administrative and program support for the Kennedy Center's academic programs. Responsibilities include coordinating with academic program coordinators, supporting the Kennedy Center Lecture Series and other events, assisting with student outreach and internships, and providing general office support. This role works with faculty, students, guest lecturers, and campus partners and requires strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.Note: This is a part-time position (28) hours per week.What you'll do in this position:Coordinate with academic program coordinators and respond to program-related inquiriesCreate, format, and distribute academic program newslettersSupport social media content and communicationsCoordinate logistics for the Kennedy Center Lecture Series and other events, including scheduling, rooms, AV, and event-day supportArrange guest speaker travel and process honorarium paymentsLead Kennedy Center tours, class visits, and student outreach activitiesMaintain internship resources and identify new internship opportunities for studentsMeet with students to discuss internship opportunities and lead information sessionsProvide front desk and general administrative support as neededWhat qualifies you for this role:RequiredA firm commitment to the mission of BYUBachelor's degreeStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to coordinate multiple programs, events, and prioritiesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work effectively with faculty, students, guests, and campus partnersAbility to handle financial and guest information with accuracy and discretionPreferredMaster's degreeExperience updating websites and managing databasesExperience creating and designing newslettersDesired Skills:Excellent interpersonal and customer service skillsStrong event planning and coordination abilitiesEffective written communication and content development skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines and competing prioritiesInitiative and ability to work independentlyStrong attention to detail and follow-throughInterest in international studies and student engagementWhat we offer in return:This position comes with fantastic benefits, including:401k.
