Role Description The Administrative Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Glen Burnie, MD. This role supports daily office operations by answering phones, greeting visitors, managing incoming and outgoing mail, and maintaining organized paper and digital files. The Administrative Assistant schedules appointments, updates calendars, prepares basic correspondence and forms, and assists with data entry related to client records. The role includes coordinating supplies, supporting the CPA with executive-level administrative tasks, and ensuring the front office provides a professional, welcoming environment. The Administrative Assistant works closely with the firm’s team to support efficient workflow and timely client service.
Qualifications
Strong Administrative Assistance and Clerical Skills to handle filing, data entry, scheduling, and general office support
Professional Phone Etiquette and Communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and internal team members
Experience in Executive Administrative Assistance to support calendar management, meeting coordination, and confidential document handling
Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar tools) and comfort learning accounting-related systems
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management in a busy office environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information appropriately
Previous experience in an accounting, tax, or professional services office is beneficial
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative or business coursework is a plus
