Job description
Medical Equipment Department AdministratorRole Summary: Manage clerical and administrative functions for the medical equipment department. Support secretarial staff supervision and act as liaison with contractors and internal/external stakeholders. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week.Key Responsibilities:Oversee clerical activities and assist with non-nursing administrative tasks.Supervise and educate secretarial staff.Serve as primary contact for contractors and staff about department operations.Process purchase orders and assist in budgeting and monitoring expenses.Maintain department manuals, records, and correspondence flow.Perform secretarial duties including screening calls, typing, filing, and data gathering for reports.Attend and record minutes at departmental meetings.Demonstrate solid knowledge of supervisory responsibilities to support nurse/department managers.Prioritize workload and act independently to meet deadlines.Requirements:High school diploma plus at least one year of college or business school training in secretarial procedures.3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in healthcare or hospital settings.Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare procedures is preferred.Excellent secretarial, communication, and interpersonal skills.Fluency in English is required.
