Administrative Assistant (Manufacturing Operations)Location: Romeoville, IL (Primary) with remote support for Kenosha, WI Pay: $25.00 - $27.00/hour, based on experience Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week | Start time between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM Overtime: Minimal (0-5 hours per week as business needs require) Dress Code: Business Casual (Jeans permitted)About the Company: Join a leading manufacturer of essential infrastructure and building products with operations across North America. The team culture emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and providing high-quality products that support construction and infrastructure projects throughout the region.Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Administrative Assistant to support operations at our Romeoville facility while providing remote administrative support to our Kenosha location. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys supporting operations, employees, and leadership teams.The Administrative Assistant plays a critical role in maintaining accurate records, coordinating communications, supporting production reporting, and helping keep daily plant operations running smoothly.SAP experience is highly preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative SupportManage incoming calls, emails, correspondence, and meeting requests.Welcome and assist visitors.Maintain office supply inventory.Support filing, record retention, and document management.Provide administrative support to plant leadership and operational teams.Document Management & ReportingCreate, edit, and maintain Excel spreadsheets and reports.Compile operational data for management reporting.Prepare documents, presentations, and internal communications.Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of records.Scheduling & CoordinationCoordinate meetings, plant tours, employee events, and training activities.Organize event logistics, catering, and meeting arrangements.Manage calendars and communicate schedules effectively.Operations SupportSupport inventory management and cycle counts.Reconcile shipping and receiving documentation.Assist with dispatch and logistics coordination.Provide support for safety-related administrative activities.Employee EngagementAssist with employee recognition programs and team-building activities.Coordinate communications and event participation.Help foster a positive employee experience.Continuous ImprovementFollow established data management and confidentiality procedures.Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.Successfully manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.Previous administrative, office support, manufacturing office, or data entry experience preferred.Strong Microsoft Office skills, including: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams.SAP experience strongly preferred.Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to handle confidential information professionally.Self-starter with a passion for process improvement and customer service.Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.Additional InformationFull-timePrimary work location in Romeoville with remote support responsibilities for Kenosha.Drug screen required.Background check required (conditional offer available pending completion).Candidates selected to move forward will participate in an on-site panel interview with members of the operations and leadership team.Consistent attendance, professionalism, and reliability are essential.Why Apply?Competitive pay up to $27/hourStable Monday-Friday scheduleOpportunity to grow within a respected manufacturing organizationSupportive team environmentExposure to operations, logistics, HR, safety, and plant administrationChance to make an immediate impact on a growing businessApply today with an updated resume highlighting your administrative, manufacturing, SAP, and reporting experience.
