Administrative AssistantProgram & Location: Community Based Recovery Support (CBRS) - New Bedford, MA Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Pay Range: $21-26/hr depending on experience & education Status: Full Time, 40 hoursAbout UsHigh Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness. High Point believes that everyone has inherent goodness, worth, and dignity. Our goal is to help individuals and families achieve personal change and improve their quality of life.High Point provides a range of community-based services including Community Based Recovery Support (CBRS). CBRS was created to provide additional support to people as they work on their recovery within their communities. Often, clients who have been in an addiction treatment or Section 35 facility and are transitioning back into their communities' benefit from extra support.Administrative Assistant RequirementsMust always present as courteous and professionalDemonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasksMust have excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashionExcellent telephone etiquette and ability to manage a busy phone system;Ability to organize and prioritize a demanding workload while adhering to project timelinesKnowledge of basic computer skills and software programsMust have the ability to work with others in a cooperative and collaborative mannerAbility to understand and implement Trauma Informed CareMaintains appropriate boundaries and adheres to code of ethicsComply with federal and state regulations concerning confidentialityUnderstand and adhere to all applicable policies and procedures of HPAOComplete TB screening requirementsCompletion of the HPAO approved de-escalation programCPR / First Aid CertificationValid Driver's License (requirement may be waived)Administrative Assistant Duties & ResponsibilitiesGreet and sign in all visitors and guests.Complete and upload SharePoint reports as assigned.Provide clerical support to staff and Program Management.Record, edit and distribute meeting minutes as requested by the Program DirectorAttend supervision, required staff meetings, facility meetings, trainings and all other meetings as requiredDevelop good working relationships with other staff members to reinforce a team approachParticipate in annual Continuous Quality Improvement and comply with Quality Assessment Report data collection requirementsAlways utilize universal/standard precautionsPerform other duties as assigned by the Program Director and COOCommunity Based Services Specific Duties and ResponsibilitiesOrder monthly supplies/office equipment, when necessary, complete monthly inventory and replenish stock as neededAn understanding of SUD and the relationship between substance use and mental health issues.Assist in preparing and submitting grant applications.Administrative Assistant QualificationsMinimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, preferred (GED).Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and Power Point programs.Excellent oral and written communication skills.BenefitsMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLong & short term disabilityDiscounted auto/home and renters insurance403b - RetirementFSA & DCAPFMLEmployee Assistance ProgramBonuses & ReferralEligibility for free classes to become a Licensed Counselor or Recovery CoachEducation days to use towards CEU'sFree meals at select programs and when availableUnmatched Leave Time (FT employees can earn up to 3 weeks in first year)Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
