Administrative Coordinator 3The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is a public research university committed to academic excellence, innovation, and service. The Administrative Coordinator 3 performs a wide variety of clerical and administrative duties requiring independent judgment in support of staff members and/or the operations of an organizational unit or program.An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies:Accepting Direction: The ability to be open and willing to follow guidance or instructions.Managing Resources: The ability to manage financial, physical, and contractual resources to ensure compliance and maximize business value.Thinking Critically: The ability to analyze information objectively, identify connections across sources, and form logical, well-supported conclusions.Minimum QualificationsTwo years of experience in administrative services. Experience substitution: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.Job SpecificationThe official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.Job Duties and Other InformationJob Duties:Perform administrative and clerical duties in accordance with established rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.Process routine paperwork and enter information into departmental logs, databases, or other systems.Communicate with other departments, customers, and individuals regarding departmental or program-related matters.Assist with document imaging processes, including maintaining records and logs of imaged files.Prepare requisitions for the purchase of supplies and enter purchasing information into applicable systems.Compile information from various sources and prepare specialized reports in accordance with departmental standards.Provide clerical and administrative assistance to management.Maintain appointment schedules and assist with coordinating meetings and other activities.Prepare travel-related documents and arrangements as required.Assist management with routine administrative matters and communications.Assist with administrative functions such as property control, purchasing, and safety as assigned.Maintain accurate departmental records, files, and documentation.Perform related duties as assigned.Position-Specific Details:Appointment Type: ProbationalWork Location: University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Lafayette, LA 70504, College of SciencesCompensation: $13.77/hourBenefitsLouisiana State Government represents a wide variety of career options and offers an outstanding opportunity to make a difference through public service.
