This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic medical staff office by providing essential administrative and clerical assistance.General SummaryThe Medical Staff Office Secretary plays a vital role in ensuring smooth office functions through efficient document management and communication support.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform clerical tasks such as filing, mailing, faxing, photocopying, and scanning documents accurately and efficiently.Answer and screen telephone calls, take messages, and provide information courteously and professionally.Welcome visitors and clients to the department with a friendly and professional demeanor.Maintain medical staff call schedules and ensure all related documents are current and accurately posted on the Medical Staff intranet page.Adapt to changing priorities, embrace new responsibilities, and work effectively despite frequent interruptions.EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent is required.ExperienceAt least one year of secretarial experience involving word processing and computer operations is necessary. Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.Certification/LicenseNot applicable.Mental/Physical RequirementsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail. Must be capable of lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds.Working ConditionsStandard office environment within a regional healthcare setting serving a broad six-county area in the Midwest.
