Administrative Patient Services RepresentativeJoin a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, where compassionate patient service is a top priority. This role focuses on managing patient flow efficiently and providing exceptional support to patients and clinical staff alike.The Patient Services Representative is responsible for ensuring smooth patient processing and timely service delivery.Warmly greet patients with professionalism and respect.Assist patients with their needs and inquiries.Register patients by collecting complete demographic and insurance information.Accurately enter patient data into electronic systems with minimal errors.Collect co-payments and handle related transactions.Answer phone calls promptly and triage patient inquiries effectively.Communicate patient care needs with clinical teams.Manage incoming referrals, including gathering necessary records, films, and orders for appointments.Scan and organize patient documents within charts.Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.Track and obtain authorizations as required.Collaborate with team members to complete work queues in EPIC and correct identified errors.Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and within deadlines.A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Preference is given to graduates of accredited medical receptionist programs or candidates with two years of healthcare experience.At least two years of medical clerical experience in an office setting is preferred, including proficiency with word processing and personal computing. Experience with medical insurance processes is also advantageous.No certification or license is required for this position.This role demands close mental and visual attention for extended periods. The work environment can be stressful due to customer demands. Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, carrying or lifting items up to 10 lbs., turning, pushing, pulling, and stooping. Ability to move throughout the facility independently is necessary.Exposure to patients with infectious diseases, unpleasant odors, and noisy environments is possible due to equipment and high traffic areas.
