Administrative SpecialistCampus Card Services has an exciting opportunity for growth in supporting Card Office operations. The Administrative Specialist is an hourly position on the MCV Campus that will assist the Customer Service Supervisor with the daily administration of the Card Office.The Administrative Specialist is an hourly position on the MCV Campus that will assist the Customer Service Supervisor with the daily administration of the Card Office. This position will perform general administrative duties that will include, but are not limited to:Daily production and distribution of ID cardsLeading front-line customer service support by being thoroughly knowledgeable of departmental policies and proceduresSupervision, training, and development of all hourly employeesCompletes and prepares daily deposits from customer service operationsMonitors customer service emails and responds to inquiries.Monitors group carding schedules or other customer service events and coordinates with office staffMaintains office supply inventory and ensures inventory logs are up to departmental standardsTroubleshoots some office equipment issuesOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsMust be available to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm2+ years related experience working in an administrative office2+ years of accounting and cashiering experienceStrong customer service skills with excellent written and verbal communicationStrong computer skills with knowledge of MS Office and Google SuiteMust be able to take initiative and work independentlyMust be able to work with a variety of personalities in professional business situationsMust have reliable transportation and can work weekends if neededDemonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.Salary Range: 18.00All full-time university staff are eligible for VCU's robust benefits package that includes comprehensive health benefits, paid annual and holiday leave, generous tuition benefits, retirement planning and savings options, tax-deferred annuity and cash match programs, employee discounts, well-being resources, abundant opportunities for career development and advancement, and more.FLSA Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Restricted Position: NoFlexible Work Arrangement: Fully OnsiteContact Name: Mary Teller Contact Email: agency within the Commonwealth of Virginia is dedicated to recruiting, supporting, and maintaining a competent and diverse work force.
