Job description
Software AdministratorThe Software Administrator will help organize, document and plan software development efforts, taking note of and reporting on progress of all initiatives within the department, as well as server other administrative functions as needed.Duties/Responsibilities:• Serve as the central coordinator and librarian of all project documentation• Triage incoming software requests, and monitor software channels to insure proper routing or requests• Record and publish meeting minutes• Track and maintain lists of action items, needed information, and other outstanding information needs between the software team and other departments• Work directly with Project Managers to update and communicate plans, progress, status, and changes for all projects• Create and maintain Processes and Procedures for the software Department• Work with software development management team to create a proactive approach to communication and problem solving• Work with software development management team to implement solutions that drive the development process forward• Administer various reporting and documentation tools• Use background of industry experience to facilitate communication between software and other departments and customers• Perform various building and general administrative functions as assigned, such as hotel desk management, travel scheduling, stocking items, etc.• Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.• Proficiency with/ability to learn proprietary component manufacturing design software suit.• Proficiency with/ability to learn proprietary company management software.• Possess a Warrior's Spirit and a Servant's Heart.Education and Experience:• Work with Jira and Atlassian products, or something similar, strongly preferred• Previous work with software team, strongly preferredPhysical Requirements:• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.• Travel as required (minimal)• In office position
