Administrative Services AssistantThe Administrative Services Assistant will support the department by assisting with the organization, digitization, and secure disposal of documents. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented student who is comfortable handling confidential information and performing routine clerical tasks with accuracy.This is a part-time position of no more than 20 hours per week. Applicants must have completed their FAFSA for the academic year and have been determined eligible for Federal Work Study.The Student Worker provides temporary, part-time support to Klamath Community College departments through a variety of administrative, operational, academic, technical, customer service, or program-related activities. Duties will vary based on the needs of the department and the specific position.This is a temporary, as-needed/scheduled position of up to 20 hours per week. There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours, and actual hours worked will vary based on departmental needs, student availability, and the established work schedule.Student Workers are expected to perform assigned duties responsibly, maintain confidentiality as appropriate, provide professional and courteous service, and follow Klamath Community College policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.Examples of DutiesScan paper files and convert them into digital formatsOrganize and archive electronic files in accordance with department proceduresDownload, label, and sort digital documents for storageShred physical paperwork once digitized and approved for disposalMaintain confidentiality and data security standardsPerform other light administrative tasks as assignedAdhere to Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Regulations.Follow and enforce all KCC policies and procedures.QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS ROLEMust be reliable, punctual, and able to fulfill responsibilities and tasks consistently.Must have excellent communication skills.Must be able to follow instructions and work independently.Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEPrior experience using Microsoft Office and standard office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, and scanners is preferred.OTHER REQUIREMENTSMust be a current student at Klamath Community College.Must have completed the FAFSA for academic year and been determined eligible for Federal Work Study.
