Admissions Processing SpecialistThis position performs specialized duties in support of the college's admissions process to assure initial student record is accurate and determines eligibility for admission to the College. This will be an on-site position located on the Floyd campus in Rome, GA.Responsibilities:Is responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodiesSupports the GHC strategic priorities: Access & Opportunity, Inclusivity & Engagement, Student Success, and Efficiency & EffectivenessProcesses admissions applications and makes admissions decisionsMakes initial residency determinationGenerates acceptance and denial lettersEvaluates new students for testing or orientation requirementsResponds to student inquiries by telephone and in personAssists in the training of admissions and other enrollment management personnelWorks with IT personnel to test and implement new softwareEvaluates and processes high school transcriptsResearches the accreditation of external colleges and schoolsEvaluates and processes nursing program applications as assignedResponds to college administrators in regards to unusual or complicated admissions decisionsRepresents the college at various institutional and public eventsPerforms related dutiesRequired Qualifications:Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school educationSufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years or equivalent combination of experience and/or educationKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Knowledge of federal, state and institutional policies and procedures related to admissions and student enrollmentKnowledge of admissions requirementsKnowledge of University System and college policies and proceduresKnowledge of computers and job-related software programsSkill in the analysis of problems and the development and implementation of solutionsSkill in oral and written communicationRequired Documents to Attach:Cover LetterResumeApply Before Date: Applications will be accepted until filled.
