Role Overview
Apply safeguarding expertise to help assess sexual safety and exploitation risk in adolescent case scenarios and improve how AI systems reason about complex real-world situations. This remote contract role focuses on producing clear, defensible guidance for non-specialist audiences. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
Review complex adolescent cases for sexual safety, child sexual exploitation, and child sexual abuse risks.
Use recognized clinical risk-assessment and safeguarding frameworks to determine severity, urgency, and appropriate interventions.
Identify nuanced indicators of grooming, coercion, and exploitation.
Recommend protective actions, escalation pathways, and mandatory reporting when warranted.
Apply trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate judgment that considers capacity and consent.
Benchmark clinical judgments against peer standards and established protocols to support accurate, reliable guidance.
Qualifications
3 to 5+ years of post-qualification experience in child safeguarding, adolescent protection, or a relevant clinical role.
Background in child protection, forensic child or adolescent psychiatry or psychology, or pediatric medicine with safeguarding responsibilities.
Active clinical license or registration in good standing.
A current or recent, within the past two years, adolescent caseload or safeguarding practice.
Demonstrated expertise in CSE/CSA risk assessment, mandatory-reporting requirements, trauma-informed practice, and documentation.
Strong clinical reasoning, clinical risk assessment, severity staging, intervention judgment, exploitation-risk detection, safeguarding escalation, and consent and developmental judgment.
Exceptional research-grade written English, native proficiency or equivalent IELTS 7.5+ with writing 7.0+, TOEFL 100+, or Cambridge C1-C2.
Experience as a designated safeguarding professional or expert witness, and familiarity with ACEs and trauma frameworks, are preferred.
Work Terms
Remote contract engagement.
Roles are commonly filled within 48 hours, and applicants should be ready to begin promptly.
If selected, complete the required onboarding and be prepared to start initial tasks within 24 to 48 hours afterward.
Compensation
$45 to $95 per hour.
