Faculty appointments with Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine with research opportunities in collaboration with the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute (FBRI)

The Section Chief role offers a leadership opportunity which combines clinical practice, academic engagement, and program development within a physician-led academic health system.
Qualifications
Board Certified in Adolescent Medicine (ABMS or AOA)
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Adolescent Medicine fellowship
Demonstrated commitment to multidisciplinary, patient-centered care
Strong leadership, communication, and collaborative skills
About Carilion Children’s
Carilion Children’s is western Virginia’s primary pediatric referral center and is anchored by a 60-bed NICU/Intermediate nursery, 8-bed PICU, 24-bed pediatric inpatient unit, Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, dedicated pediatric emergency department, 19 pediatric subspecialty clinics and robust ancillary services, and residency programs including Pediatric, Family Medicine, OB-Gyn, and IM. Carilion Clinic offers a competitive salary with incentive tied to productivity and quality criteria. Salary range is $265,000-$376,803 annually. The posted salary range may not reflect the full value of the total compensation package. In addition, comprehensive benefits and pension offerings further enhance the overall rewards package.
