Adolescent Medicine Specialist
Greenville, SC
Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, seeks a full time BC/BE Adolescent Medicine Specialist to join a multidisciplinary team. Prisma Health Adolescent Medicine is dedicated to the comprehensive care of adolescents and young adults (AYA) 10-25yo. Being the only free-standing AYA practice in South Carolina, >2000 patients receive care at our division for a vast array of concerns, including:
Eating Disorders
LGBTQIA+ Care (including comprehensive transgender medical care)
AYA Mental Health (including psychopharmacologic management)
Acne Management (including Accutane)
Menstrual Health
Reproductive Health
Sexual Health
HIV, PrEP, and PEP care
Inpatient Consultation
Ideal Candidate will:
Demonstrate commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion with experience fostering an inclusive environment, engaging in ongoing professional development, and working as part of a learning community with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds, including race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, educational background, languages spoken, socioeconomic status, and geography, among others.
Be board eligible or board certified in Adolescent Medicine
Have experience and interest in management of eating disorders across the spectrum of disease, in addition to the clinical care noted above
Be interested in medical/resident/fellow trainee education
Show compassion, integrity, and empathy in the care of medically and socially complex AYA
Be able to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff from a diversity of backgrounds
Details:
Academic appointment at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine - Greenville commensurate with experience
No Weekend In-House Call obligations
