Overview
Adult Nurse Practitioner, Outpatient Office-based Addiction Treatment — Lynn, MA. This is an office-based addiction medicine practice integrated with behavioral health services. The practice trains its providers with tools and evidence-based treatment protocols so that they become confident medical providers in treating patients with addiction. The practice emphasizes a healthy balance between career and personal well-being; providers do not work nights, holidays or weekends and are not required to be on-call.
Responsibilities
Provide office-based, direct patient care for mostly opioid and alcohol addiction at outpatient locations.
Act as a medical liaison between medical/behavioral health providers and collaborate with the clinic physician.
Collaborate with other staff regarding medication-assisted-treatment (MAT) and engage in patient medical case reviews.
Adopt and collaborate on treatment plans with the collaborative team and be flexible to changes in the organization’s mission and processes.
Demonstrate teamwork with strong personal and professional character.
Participate in medical management of medications and provide compassionate care within a harm-reduction model.
Qualifications
Experience as an NP in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Primary Care preferred.
Massachusetts NP license, board certification, and current DEA certificate (MUST to apply).
Existing X-DEA buprenorphine waiver certification.
Experience in treating patients with addiction in any capacity.
