nJob Description
nThis position is responsible for direct service to consumers with mental health issues to include crisis care, goal directed behavioral interventions, and direct support of consumers.
nRequired Qualifications:
nnAble to pass background checks, including drug testing
nMust be 21 years old or older
n** Personal experience with mental illness mandatory **
n nPrimary Job Duties
nnWork one on one proactively with consumers on Certified Peer Support treatment plan goals outlined by client’s treatment team
nProvide shared life experience to inspire hope
nProvide one on one support to consumers in activities of daily living or in maintaining daily routines critical to progression of recovery
nSupport consumers in community activities
nMonitor and document progress toward meeting goals
nProvide peer support during consumer crisis and/or upon hospital discharge
nFacilitate/Co-Facilitate Certified Peer Support groups and Psychosocial Rehabilitation groups
n nEducation:
nnHigh school or equivalent (Required)
