Demonstrates advanced technical skills and provides peer leadership in the physician practice setting.Qualifications:EducationH.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred andGraduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or a Nursing Assistant program. Required orIn Lieu of formal education program, five (5) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience RequiredWork Experience2 years of experience in a medical office setting with the completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program. Required orIn lieu of degree /certification from a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, five (5) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience RequiredLicenses and CertificationsBCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required andCertified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Upon Hire Required orCNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Upon Hire RequiredAdditional applicable clinical certifications (i.e. Phlebotomy, EKG, X-Ray, etc.) PreferredPiedmont Athens Regional Specialty Services
