Description
The J is hiring enthusiastic and knowledgeable
Baseball Coach
and
Assistant Coaches
for our advanced teams.
This coaching staff will provide instruction and impart their knowledge of the game to young players ages 9-12. The J’s Baseball instructional program emphasizes skill development, self-discipline and safety and teaches the value of good sportsmanship. Experience as a coach/player is required.
Schedule
We are hiring reliable part-time staff to assist with practice/training sessions on weeknights and to coach games/tournaments on weekends, with a chance of weeknight games.
Benefits
Pay $26-$30 per 90 minute session
Free individual membership to The J, Fitness Center, Aquatics and more
Essential Functions
Lead and assist coach with baseball drills at practices and assistant coach in games for ages 9-12
Help set up and tear down equipment
Supervise children ages 9 to 12 years old
Head Coach provides clear and timely communication with parents and Assistant Coaches give positive communication and reinforce the coaches direction
Requirements
Experience working with children preferred
Experience as a coach/player is required
Knowledge of baseball and its rules
Able to work a flexible schedule
Must have reliable transportation
Physical Requirements
Constant standing, walking and exposure to the weather outdoors
Frequent walking/running, eye/hand/foot coordination, talking and hearing to demonstrate and execute skills
Occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. to move equipment as needed
