Advanced CDE | Certified Diabetes Educator
Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), coordinating comprehensive diabetes education programs for both pediatric and adult patients. This role involves guiding patients and their caregivers through self-management techniques and providing valuable resources to support positive health outcomes.
Education
Must hold certification from the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (CDE).
Experience
Three to five years of recent hospital experience in a relevant clinical area is required. Previous management or case management experience is highly desirable.
Requirements
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential. The role demands strong organizational, prioritization, and leadership abilities. Candidates should be knowledgeable about the physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual needs of diverse patient populations.
Physical demands include the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, occasional bending and lifting, and access to all hospital areas, including detached buildings. Excellent speech, auditory, and visual acuity are necessary for effective patient communication and observation. The position may involve contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials.
