Demonstrates advanced technical skills and provides peer leadership in the physician practice setting.Ideal candidates will possess a strong clinical background with proven experience in outpatient or physician practice settings, including patient rooming, obtaining, and documenting vital signs, performing phlebotomy, completing EKGs, and accurately processing clinic charges. Demonstrates exceptional patient care skills and the ability to effectively support clinical workflows while maintaining a positive patient experience. Experience working within the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system is highly preferred.Qualifications:EducationH.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred andGraduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or a Nursing Assistant program. Required orIn Lieu of formal education program, five (5) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience RequiredWork Experience2 years of experience in a medical office setting with the completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program. Required orIn lieu of degree /certification from a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, five (5) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience RequiredLicenses and CertificationsBCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required andCertified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Upon Hire Required orCNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Upon Hire RequiredAdditional applicable clinical certifications (i.e. Phlebotomy, EKG, X-Ray, etc.) PreferredPiedmont Atlanta Hospital
