Advanced Cna - Medical Surgical, Full Time DaysJoin a compassionate healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) specializing in medical-surgical care. This full-time day position offers the opportunity to provide essential patient support and contribute to a positive care environment in a vibrant regional healthcare setting in the Southeastern United States.Key responsibilities include:Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to unit routines and equipment.Respond promptly to patient needs, providing direct assistance or communicating with appropriate staff.Support the nursing care plan by performing delegated patient care tasks.Maintain patient safety through proper use of equipment and supplies.Manage and stock patient care supplies efficiently.Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.Engage in ongoing educational and performance improvement activities.Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction and patient throughput.Education and certifications required:High school diploma or equivalent.Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Experience and skills:No prior experience required; training provided.Excellent communication and guest relations skills.Ability to read and write English effectively.Flexibility in work tasks and schedules.Basic computer proficiency.Understanding of age-specific patient care considerations.Physical requirements:Ability to work variable shifts including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.Capability to turn and lift patients safely.Visual and auditory acuity to observe patient conditions.Exposure to blood and body fluids with adherence to safety protocols.
