If you are a person with a relentless drive to succeed, a strong focus on quality with a passion for success – join us today!UCT is looking for a talented Advanced Electrical Assembly Technician IV to join us in Hillsboro, OR!The Assembly Technician IV performs advanced electronic and electro-mechanical assembly in a high-mix semiconductor manufacturing environment, ensuring high-quality and precise production output. This role builds and integrates complex assemblies—including wiring, cable routing, soldering, and component installation—while following detailed work instructions, schematics, and build documentation. The technician performs testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve assembly issues, supporting efficient production, consistent product performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassembliesPerform advanced wiring, cable routing, soldering, and component installationRead and interpret work instructions, assembly prints, and electrical schematicsOperate hand tools, power tools, and bench equipment to complete buildsPerform standard testing and troubleshooting on assemblies and subassembliesIdentify and resolve assembly issues, escalating complex problems as neededEnsure quality standards are met throughout all stages of the assembly processMaintain accurate build documentation and production recordsCollaborate with team members, leads, and engineering to support production goalsSupport process improvements and continuous improvement initiativesFollow 5S, safety, and visual management standardsPerform other duties as requiredAttendance is an essential job functionOther Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Proficient in advanced assembly and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systemsAbility to read and interpret assembly prints, electrical schematics, and blueprintsStrong working knowledge of cable routing and harnessingWiring, soldering, and crimping standardsExperience using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipmentUnderstanding of quality standards and inspection practicesBasic GD&T knowledge preferredStrong attention to detail and quality focusEffective communication skills in a team environmentWorking knowledge of MRP systems and production documentation toolsEducational/Certification Requirement:High School Diploma or equivalent experience.Some technician coursework and/or AA technical degree or equivalent experience.Experience Requirement:4+ years of experience in manufacturing, cleanroom, or electro-mechanical/electrical assembly environmentExperience with wiring, cable routing, and troubleshooting preferredExperience with testing, inspection, or leak testing is a plusPhysical Demands and Working Conditions: This section is required for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Acts (ADA)Work Environment:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Work is performed primarily in a standard manufacturing environment.Physical Demands:Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull and grasp.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.Ability to lift over 25 lbs. with assistance.Ability to move arms, hands and fingers.Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
