Job Summary and Responsibilities
nAs our Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist , you will join the nationally recognized CHI Health Heart Institute and Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska . You will become part of a highly collaborative cardiovascular team dedicated to advancing clinical excellence, innovation, research, and medical education while providing exceptional care to patients with advanced heart failure and complex cardiovascular disease. You will also contribute to the development and expansion of a destination LVAD program.
nEvery day you will provide comprehensive care for patients with advanced heart failure in both inpatient and outpatient settings, collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiovascular specialists, and play a pivotal role in the continued growth and development of the Advanced Heart Failure Program, including the expansion of a destination LVAD program.
nTo be successful in this role, you will be a board-certified or board-eligible Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist with strong clinical expertise, a passion for innovation in heart failure management, and a commitment to academic medicine. You will also demonstrate excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach to patient care, and the ability to thrive within a dynamic academic and research-focused environment.
nnnEvaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with advanced heart failure and complex cardiovascular disease
n
nnProvide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient heart failure care through a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach
n
nnParticipate in the ongoing growth and development of the Advanced Heart Failure Program
n
nnCollaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, general cardiologists, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary cardiovascular teams
n
nnRecognized as a TAVR, TEER, and Atrial Fibrillation Center of Excellence
n
nnProvide consultative services for patients with advanced heart failure and cardiomyopathy
n
nnParticipate in the management of patients in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and inpatient cardiovascular services
n
nnUtilize innovative technologies and evidence-based treatment approaches to optimize patient outcomes
n
nnParticipate in a high-quality Heart Failure Clinic dedicated to comprehensive longitudinal patient care
n
nnCollaborate with CommonSpirit Health service line partners on clinical research initiatives, quality improvement projects, and best practice sharing
n
nnParticipate in national and international cardiovascular research trials and scholarly activities
n
nnTeach and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students through Creighton University School of Medicine
n
nnConduct clinical research in collaboration with faculty across CommonSpirit Health and Creighton University
n
nnContribute to a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and patient-centered cardiovascular care
n
